Joe was born September 15, 1947, in Galveston to the late Joseph W. Tipple and Anna Mae Anderson Tipple. Survivors include his wife, Linda McFadden Tipple, stepdaughters & spouses, Tracy & J. R. Smith and granddaughters Taylor & Mackenzie; Denise & Doug Kutzer and granddaughters Abbey, Chloe & Megan and sister-in-law Carolyn Kendrick. Sister-in-law Donna Guerra preceded in death. Also surviving him are his loving stepmother Elizabeth Evans TIpple and stepsiblings Clinton Evans, Ellen & Tim Lanigan, Norman Evans & Lois & Gerard Albertine. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including the Dietz, Smith, Guerra, Dodd and Evans families and Uncle Johnny & Aunt Peggy Anderson as well as numerous loving Tipple cousins, whom he enjoyed seeing annually for 'cousin reunions.' Also surviving him are loving Anderson cousins.
Joe loved the outdoors either on the golf course with his dear friends and nephews or spending time at his favorite fishing holes in and around Galveston with his family or friends. Yard work wasn't a chore; it was a joy for him. Joe graduated from Ball High School, Galveston, as well as the University of Texas with a BA. Later in life he enjoyed cruising with Linda and taking his bi-annual trips to Las Vegas. He also enjoyed his work at Wells Fargo Advisors, along with his wonderful crew in the Katy office. A particular thank-you to Kathy Ballew, who worked for or with Joe for 18 years, and was his right hand gem, as well as the brokers in his office, David Smith, Mike Ragsdale & Roylene Ray, who literally carried him these past difficult months and colleague Skip Rozelle, and Paul Bobal and assistant Cass. And a huge thanks to our dear friends who nurtured us thru this time, Ginger & Martin Bailey, Linda & Gary Brooks, Barbara & Dan Craig, also caregiver Natoya by his side.
Family wishes to thank Dr. Kirk Heyne, oncologist, and his caring staff at the Medical Clinic of Houston in addition to Radiology & Day Surgery Departments at Christus St. Catherine in Katy and their loving nursing staff, along with Dr. Sohail Noor & Jen.
