Joseph Anthony Gonzalez

To his loved ones he was known as “Joey” and his closest friends knew him by “JoJo”. He had a love for the water, music, and drawing. Joseph had many talents, one of which was Tile Work. He was self-taught and was very good at it.

He had a career in remodeling floors, showers, and tile-work. He resided in Cove, Arkansas, but despite the distance Joseph’s heart always remained in his home-town Houston.

He is survived by his son, Izaiah Joseph Gonzalez; father, Jose Gonzalez; mother, Shannon Reyes; brothers, Steven Gonzalez, Eric Gonzalez, Andres Reyes, and Constantino “Jr” Reyes; sisters, Angelica Gonzalez, Ana Reyes, Shannon Reyes.

Preceded in death by grandmothers, Carolina Gonzalez, and Kathleen Gurrola, and sister, Maria Katalina Reyes.

Serving as Pallbearers are Steven Gonzalez, Romeo Gonzalez, Eric Gonzalez, Andres Reyes, Jorge Gonzalez and Julyo Barron.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Constantino “Jr” Reyes, and Jose Gonzalez.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
