Joseph Angelo Beltran, 15, of Houston, TX, passed away June 12, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born November 7th, 2005 in Houston, the son of Cinthia Carolina Alegria and Juan Angelo Beltran. Joseph was a sophomore and attended Klein Oak High School in Spring, TX, where he was a beloved member of the basketball team.
Joseph's love for basketball was a driving force in his life. Days before passing he wrote about the struggles he endured and valuable lessons he learned about life and himself on his journey to becoming a member of the Klein Oak High School basketball team. He also detailed the overwhelming joy he felt when he was awarded the role of the stating player. Drive, tenacity and determination are attributes of a leader and that’s who he was. Joseph had aspirations to become a writer and a successful businessman.
Joseph is survived by his parents Angelo and Cinthia; his sisters Julliana Dominique Beltran and Jordana Victoria Beltran and Brothers Johan Alexander Beltran, Everson Joshua Beltran and Matthew Moises Lopez. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Mirian Janeth Alegria, of Honduras and his paternal grandparents, Edgard Beltran and Ligia Irene Camelo of Colombia. Lastly, he is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as by close friends at Klein Oak High School.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. Viewing hours will be Sunday June 27, 2021 from 9a.m. to 8p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10a.m. also at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home.
