Jose Rocha

Jose R Rocha, 80, of San Luis Potosi, passed away on March 3, 2022, after a long and well lived life. He was a husband, proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He grew up in San Luis Potosi but made his way to Houston, TX where he worked hard and raised his family. He was a good provider and was always willing to help his family, friends and neighbors. After his retirement, he spent his last years visiting his grandchildren, cooking, singing, attending school functions, birthdays, and holidays. He often enjoyed passing his time in game rooms and casinos while enjoying the variety of foods they served. He lived a long full and happy life. Unfortunately, he was called home to Heaven too soon, unexpectedly in his sleep on March 3, 2022. He will be missed deeply by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Jose is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria Rocha; and their children, Charis Rocha, Jose Rocha and wife, Monica Rocha, and Natalie Rocha. He is also survived by his children, Samuel Rocha and wife, Leticia Hernandez Rocha, Saul Rocha and wife, Graciela Rocha, Hector Rocha and wife, Maria de Jesus Avila Rocha, wife of Marino, Margarita Ovea Rocha, and their mother, Florentina Jimenez Rocha. He is survived by his sisters, Prisca, Margarita, Josefa, Maria, and his brother, Ismael Rocha. He is survived by his 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Jose is preceded in death by his son, Marino Rocha; sisters, Francisca, Adelina, Eugenia, and Micaela.

He will be extremely missed by all those who were touched by his humbleness, kindness, and big heart that he had for all. His great deeds, thoughtfulness, patience, words of wisdom, conversations, commitment to his family and friends and his hard work will live on as a remembrance of who he was.

We are forever grateful and lucky to have shared his presence and life here on this Earth. He will forever be missed, treasured, and loved.

A viewing will be held Friday March 11, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. During the viewing a rosary service will be held from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held directly after funeral services until 1:00 pm. Reception will be held immediately after the graveside service at the home of his son, Jose A Rocha at 5207 Sleepy Creek Dr. Houston, TX 77017.

José R Rocha, de 80 años, de San Luis Potosí, falleció el 3 de Marzo del 2022 después de una larga y buena vida. Fue un gran esposo, padre orgulloso, abuelo y bisabuelo. Creció en San Luis Potosí, y continuo su destino en Houston, TX, donde trabajó y crio a su familia. Era un buen proveedor y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a su familia, amigos y vecinos. Después de su jubilación, pasó sus últimos años visitando a sus nietos cocinando, caantando,asistiendo a funciones escolares, cumpleaños y fiestas. Le encantaba pasar su tiempo en salas de juegos y casinos mientras disfrutaba de la variedad de comida que servían. Vivió una larga y plena vida. Desafortunadamente, fue llamado a casa al Cielo, inesperadamente mientras dormía el 3 de marzo de 2022. Será extrañado profundamente por su familia, amigos y todos los que lo conocieron.

A José le sobreviven su esposa de 45 años María Rocha y sus hijos, Charis Rocha, José Rocha y su esposa Mónica Rocha, y Natalie Rocha. También le sobreviven sus hijos Samuel Rocha y su esposa Leticia Hernandez Rocha, Saúl Rocha y su esposa Graciela Rocha, Héctor Rocha y su esposa Maria de Jesus AvilaRocha, la esposa de Marino Margarita Ovea Rocha, y su madre Florentina Jimenez Rocha. Le sobreviven sus hermanas, Prisca, Margarita, Josefa, María, su hermano Ismael Rocha. Le sobreviven sus 26 nietos y 5 bisnietos.

José es precedido en la muerte por su hijo Marino Rocha, hermanas, Francisca, Adelina, Eugenia y Micaela.

Será profundamente extrañado por todos aquellos que fueron tocados con su humildad, amabilidad y gran corazón que tenía para todos. Sus grandes obras, palabras de sabiduría, conversaciones, compromiso con su familia y amigos y su arduo trabajo vivirán por siempre.

Estamos eternamente agradecidos de haber compartido su presencia y vida aquí en la tierra. Siempre será extrañado, atesorado y amado.

Abra una vista disponible el viernes 11 de marzo, 2022. de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm en Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. Durante el velorio un servicio de rosario de 7:00 pm a 7:30 pm. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el sábado 12 de marzo de 2022, de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. en Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. El servicio junto a la tumba se llevará a cabo directamente después de los servicios funerarios hasta la 1:00 pm.

La recepción se llevará a cabo inmediatamente después del servicio junto a la tumba en la casa de su hijo José A Rocha en 5207 Sleepy Creek Dr. Houston, TX 77017.
