Jose is survived by his daughter Monica Rivas; his step-daughters Regina Quintanilla, Roslyn Perez, and Renata Martinez; his grandchild Juliana Rivas; David Gonzales whom he loved like a son; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter.
Jose was preceded in death by his mother Maria Magdalena Rivas and his brother Andres Rivas Sr..
A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
