Jose is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter, Nikki Hendrix.
He is survived by Lupe, his loving wife of a joyous 62 years. He lives on through his three sons, Joe, Ram, and Ralph, and one daughter, Lucie, along with their growing families.
During their marriage, Joe and Lupe built many memories together over camping trip adventures, many happy family reunions, generations of weddings, church trips, and many other celebrations with family. Together, they’ve made countless friends and were godparents to many children. Joe loved and cherished both his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed carrying, teasing and spoiling all of them. Joe will be deeply missed by all.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Rd, Houston, TX 77039. A burial will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
