Hello, my deepest condolences to your Family. I hope someone sees this. Did you have a brother or brothers in San Antonio, Texas and in the military? 


My Mom has no family history of her Father David. I was wondering if you may be related to him?

Dad, i moved this swing, bricks and birdbath to my backyard.  It was important to me to place the swing in the same area as your yard.  I used other bricks to make a walkway in my yard from my backdoor to  the back of the garage.  

I need to tell you and Mom that Grandma gave me a birdbath from her yard a few years before she passed.  I had the birdbath for almost 20 years until it fell apart.   Now, i have the birdbath from you guys.  So i will remember to pass on a birdbath to some family members in the future and let them know of this Obregon family tradition and to keep up the tradition.

Dad, it appears i will not need to mow your lawn anymore.  I have kept your yard up since your passing.  i picked up trash that may have blown into your yard.  I enjoyed doing this for you and Mom.   I took a picture of this tree as i believe it symbolizes the structure that you and Mom built for our family.   The tree is like a large covering much like you and Mom provided for us.  I tell folks that growing up you guys sheltered us from many of life's ills.  I am so thankful for the life you provided for us on a jeweler's salary.  Home, food, clothing, recreation.  I wish i appreciated what you did for us when i was growing up.    I am going to miss taking care of your yard.   I love and miss you both terribly.  Your Son Joe.

Dad, I went to my property in East Texas this week.  Has been raining off and on most of the week.  Anyway,  when I arrived on my property I knew I had about 2 hours to finish what I planned to complete before the overcast sky would turn into rain.  

I opened the tailgate of my truck and began to unload the concrete blocks and squares I removed from your backyard.   

I wish I was making this up. 

The sun suddenly broke thru the overcast sky.  

I knew immediately that you and Mom were thrilled to see me repurpose some of your possessions.  

I am starting a vegetable garden and those blocks will help mark the area.  

I love and miss you both.

Mom and Dad - i walked through your home this past weekend.  it is now empty but good memories remain.  As i walked through, i reminisced about the past.   When i reached the dining room, i said in a loud voice "THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES YOU CREATED IN THIS HOME!"  

I walked outside to start mowing the lawn.  It was warm on Saturday.  As i began mowing, i once again thanked both of you for the memories.  A cool breeze then wrapped around me.  All i could think of to say was Thank you Mom.  i needed the hug.  

i left a few wildflowers in the yard.  i know Mom would have wanted them to be left alone.  

I love and miss you both so much.

Dad, I know how much you liked keeping a nice yard.  I cut the grass today, including the bayou side.  The day started out with an overcast.  I thought it might rain. Anyway,  as I started the lawn work, suddenly the sun broke through the clouds!  I knew then you and mom were very happy to see me working in your yard.    This made my heart glad. 

I love and miss you both.

Dad, I want you to know I have been thinking about you everyday.   I visited Mom and bought her a Valentines Day necklace on your behalf.  I said that since Dad was a jeweler,  I should buy Mom a piece of jewelry.  Mom loved the necklace and said she would never take off.  This made me feel good and my heart glad.  She told me how proud you would be to know I am finally learning and speaking Spanish.  I mowed the yard for Mom.  She called me daily to let me know how nice the yard looked.  I told her I had some practice.  This made her laugh.  

I love and miss you both.

That's my Dad, Sixto, on the left of wonderful Uncle Joe... Uncle Joe had a halting voice; I have the same voice. Blessings to Aunt Lupe!

Rest in peace sweet Uncle Joe.  A favorite  memory of mine is when Tio Joe and Tia Lupe gave me a gold pendant with my initial, the letter D, for my 15th birthday.  To this day,  I still have that pendant that he made.

 I will always remember those fun family reunion trips. 

My heartfelt condolences to all the family. Ya’ll are in my thoughts and prayers.❤️

Tio Joe you will be missed. I will remember our last conversation we had when you and Tia Lupe came to see my Dad before his passing.  Those camping trips and family reunion ball games, Poker games at grandmas house☺️.RIP Go Astros. 

My Pompo loved to play and be goofy with me he would put me on his feet and we would walk around the house together, those were the most memorable moments that I had with him he loved caring me around in his arms to show my little curious self everything, he was an amazing grandpa always and forever. Love you very much Pompo. ❤️

Tio Joe was a genuine soul who was always happy and always had something positive to say. He loved giving me a hard time about my Rangers every time I saw him lol I will truly miss him.
