I didn't know your father on a personal level; however, what I do know is to have raised such extraordinary children and have had such a long marriage is because he was such a great man.  He was a man of few words but I remember at your graduation from nursing school he was so excited and proud of you.  I remember his telling everyone at the restaurant this is my son, his a nurse and seeing how proud you made him.  There are no word I can say to take away your pain or your families but I will pray that with time the pain becomes more bearable.  He will always be in your heart and memories.  “The body may have run its course, but the soul lives forever.”

Alfredo, what moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. My prayers are with you and your family, may God bring you peace during this tryiong time.
