It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jose "Gordo" Marquez of Houston, TX on July 1st, 2023 at the age of 43 . Jose passed surrounded by his loved ones after a short-term battle with cancer. He leaves behind his children Anthony and Valery Reyna, his mother Maria Reyna, his siblings Yanet, Iliana and David along with his brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Jose will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends.
A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champion, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A brief visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the funeral Mass being held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Pkwy, Houston, TX 77070.
