Jose Guadalupe Lopez

1935-2017

Jose G. Lopez of Houston, Texas, a beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law, father, father-in-law, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and child of God was called home to his Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Born to Juan Lopez and Cirila de Anda Lopez in the city of San Jose Olivares, Jalisco, Mexico, on August 20, 1935. He worked in the construction of railroads, the manufacturing of Igloos for the Igloo Corporation and finally for Groth Equipment Corporation as a machinist. He faithfully attended St. Patrick’s Church where he was an active member of the church choir.

Jose was survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elena Escamilla Lopez, children, Sylvia Carranza and husband Joe, Jose Jr and wife Alice, Juan Lopez, Anna Lane and husband Russell, and Ashley Kocurek and husband Larry. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Nicolaza, grandchildren, Chris, Laura, Melissa, Jason, Alexis, Owen, Jake, Nicholas, Michael, Anthony, Savannah, Taylor, and great grandchildren, Kaylee, Lilly and Lillian.

Jose is Preceded in death and welcomed to heaven by God, his parents, his brother, Jose; sisters, Abigail and Julia; and Children, Michael and Maggie.
