Joe was raised in Corpus Christi and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1968 then moved to Houston to attend The University of Houston. Joe, a Certified Public Accountant, had his own practice firm for more than 40 years in Southeast Houston. He built many long term friendship relations with clients. He was considered by some a great mentor and personal friend.
After a long an intense tax season Joe enjoyed one of his greatest passions, a fishing trip to the ocean with his closest friends. Joe had wonderful stories to tell about his trips. He will also look forward to hunting season (another of his hobbies). He was great at it according to his friends and to him of course. When at home he loved to cook, something he learned from his dad at an early age. We will be greatly missed.
Joe is survived by his spouse, Veronica Haydee Reyes; son Joe S. Garcia (Celine); brother Jesus Garcia, sister Rebecca Garcia, sister Yolanda Garcia and sister Irma White; grandchild Sophie Garcia and grandchild Frances Garcia.
Joe was preceded in death by; father Abel S. Garcia and mother Enriqueta Balli.
