Johnny Cantu

Johnny Cantu, 75, passed away on October 2, 2010. He retired from MCA Communications in December 2009 after 16 years of service. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents,Tomas Cantu and Mercedes de la Garza; sister, Berta Zepeda; and brothers, Gregorio Telles, Lupe Adams, Joe Cantu, and Roy Cantu. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Julia L. Cantu; daughter, Delma Perez and husband Dr. Pete Perez Jr.; son, John M. Cantu and wife Cynthia; grandchildren, Jenna, Pete, and Dayna Perez, Elysse, Ethan, and Elizabeth Cantu; brothers, Richard Cantu, Raymond Telles, Julio Cantu; sisters, Tome Cortez, Rosa Cardenas, Martha Cruz; close friend, Manuel Salinas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Visitation will also be held beginning at 12 noon with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven and interment following in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
