Dr. John O. Wilkins age 56, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, February 2, 2012, in Houston, TX . He was born October 1, 1955 in Tuscaloosa, AL. John was employed with the Houston Independent School District for 11 years before moving on to Energized for Excellence Academy for over ten years until his health declined. John was a faithful servant of God under the leadership of Pastor Melvin Smith at St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He will be truly missed as a loving husband, father and grandfather. John is survived by his wife of 20 years: Shelia Wilkins, 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 9 AM to 11 AM Funeral Services following thereafter at Community of Faith, 1024 Pinemont Dr., Houston, Texas 77091. Interment will follow at Cemetery Beautiful.
