John graduated from Nimitz High School. He was a man of great character with an enormous sense of humor. He enjoyed telling jokes and would always leave you laughing. John never met a stranger. He enjoyed many friendships and had an ability to make a friend of anyone he encountered. Some of his many passions included his love for music, sports, and woodwork. John enjoyed listening to music. He loved watching sports, especially the Astros, Cowboys and Texans. During his career, John worked in construction. In 2001 he suffered a major back injury and was told he would never walk again but with grit and determination he was able to walk again. He never gave up on life and tried to make the best of every day regardless of the challenges he faced. John will be missed greatly by all who came to know him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Wayne White, Sr. and mother, Viola Caldonia White.
He is survived by his daughter, Brittany White; son, John White; granddaughter, Bella; brother’s, Alvin White, Jerry White, Calvin White and sister, Carolyn White as well as a host of cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for John is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Alvin White, Jerry White, Calvin White, John White, Keith Bates, Hunter Ellison and Jerry White.
