John Wayne Taylor, born January 7, 1944 to Joseph and Wilma Mills in Houston, Texas, passed away March 30, 2011 in Houston. John is survived by his wife and true soul mate, Gloria Taylor; daughter, Pamela Armstrong and husband, Randy; granddaughter, Kristi Armstrong; grandsons, Jonathan and Michael Armstrong, and Zachary and Joshua Finney; sister, Terri Lynn Gray and husband, Joseph Putz; nephews, Johnny Gray, Chace Joshua Graham, and Dylan Cain Adams, and by other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Elizabeth Finney.
Most people did not realize what a tender, sweet, loving man John could be. He and Gloria always said they were soul mates. He told her everyday how beautiful she is. If only we could all be so lucky!
