John is predeceased by his mother and father, Alex and Edith Schulz, his brother Eric Schulz, and his daughter Maureen Victoria Schulz. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Gail, his sons Michael (Monica), Marcus (Joy), and Howard and his daughter Virginia. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Alexis, Megan, Erika, Kyle, and Brett.
John was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1948. HIs family settled in Edmonton where John attended Victoria Composite High (where he met Gail) and University of Alberta. He graduated in 1959 with his Chemical Engineering degree and pursued a career in the Oil and Gas business. Eventually his job took him to Texas. He loved living in Texas, and both Gail and John became American Citizens in 2008.
John had a strong work ethic; he loved what he did and was a brilliant engineer. He also traveled extensively and shared his love for travel with his family. At the age of 82, John went on a tour of the Antarctic with an old school friend. That trip checked off the last of the seven continents. John was a family man and loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was kind, generous, and thoughtful. He had a huge heart, always considering others feelings. He never complained and was quick to forgive. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family.
"Yea, though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." - Psalm 23:4
