John Charles Robinson Jr.

John Charles Robinson, Jr, was born March 31, 1947 to John Robinson, Sr. & Annie Lee White in Rayville, Louisiana. He moved to Houston, Texas in the 1960’s. He soon after married Gwendolyn Robinson in 1968 and had three children; John Charles Robinson III, Anthony Robinson, and Tonya Robinson.

John shared a love for fine things, all fine things, especially clothing. He had a unique style and liked anything with a cowboy flair. He had a special love for music; Jazz, Blues and R&B. John was a caring and giving person, many can attest that he would give the shirt off of his back. He was a strong believer in God and baptized at a early age.

He’s preceded in death by his parents; John Robinson, Sr. & Annie Lee White, Priscilla Denise Robertson

(Robinson/Daughter), Linda Faye Robinson (Sister), Juanita McIntosh (Sister), Maggie Taylor (Sister), Alma Lee Williams (Sister), Larry Robinson (Brother); Charlie Robinson (Uncle).

He leaves to cherish his children; John Charles Robinson III, Anthony Robinson, Tonya Robinson and Mary Broussard; grand-children, Marlon L. Robinson, John C. Robinson IV, Kenneth Q. Robinson, Ricky (RJ) Broussard, Candace Broussard, Anthony Q. Robinson, and Anthony Wade, Great—Great GrandChildren; Kyren Robinson, Khaliyah Robinson, Alijah Christian Robinson and a host of family and friends.

A visitation for John will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral services will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The committal will follow from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home & Cemetery North, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
