John was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery and service. After returning from the war, John joined the family delivery service, worked in jewelry retail sales and management, and eventually, was a business owner when he purchased his own semi-truck and worked as a driver until he retired.
John was the only son surrounded by five sisters. The siblings were close throughout their lives despite his joking accusations that they tormented him constantly. He was married twice in his life. With his first wife, Caroline, he had two children, John Andrew Reyes and Randi Reyes Dryden. His second wife, Sherry, and he also had two children, Hayley Reyes Turner and Hillary Susan Reyes. He was a loving father who constantly bragged about his children and grandchildren.
In his free time, John enjoyed listening to Blues music, watching old westerns, and searching for gifts to shower on the people he loved.
John will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, extended family, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Eleanor; and his son, John Andrew; and he is survived by his daughters, Randi, Hayley, and Hillary; and his grandchildren, Andrew Dryden, Landon Turner, Layla Turner, and Ellie Reyes.
