John S. Poteet 72, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012. He was retired after over 30 years with The Kroger Company. Preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Poteet. Survived by: Son, David Poteet and wife, Sharon; Daughter, Tammy Roberts and husband Dennis; Daughter, Kathy Boedeker and husband Gregg; Son, Steven Poteet and wife Allison; Daughter, Sabrina Ewing; Granddaughters, Jessica, Destiny, Amanda, Kimberly, Jennifer, Danielle, Alysha, Micah, and Miya; Grandsons, Derrick, Brent, Dillon, Jared, and Brandon; 7 great-grandchildren; Sister, Gregga Brown and husband Leo; Brother, Jim Poteet and wife Wanda; Sister, Laura Sullivan; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service, 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Chapel.
