He leaves a legacy to his family as a strong Christian man of faith, a role model of a father, grandfather and husband. He served in his church, home groups and Christian men’s groups. He was a self-employed independent businessman, Grocer of the year in 1980 by the Retail Grocers Association and a real estate investor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lena Orlando; his sister, Josephine Marino; brother, Sam Orlando; son, Vince Orlando and wife, Linda; daughter, Olivia Pacini and husband, Robert; son, Sam Orlando and wife, Amelia; daughter, Mary Jo Campanello and husband, Larry; son, Mark Orlando and wife, Leslie; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 10th of February, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where a prayer service will commence at seven o’clock.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 11th of February, also in the Jasek Chapel
The interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
