John R. Mattoon

John is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; children, Donna, Debbie, and Richard; grandchildren, Jason, Joanna, and Kristyn; mother-in-law, Opal Mattoon; brother, Richard Mattoon; sister-in-law, Mary Mattoon and aunt, Marcia Provan and loyal canine companions, Cleo, Chloe and Clancy

He is a four year veteran of the US Air Force and graduated from Adelphi University, NY with an accounting degree. After graduation, John held several key accounting positions with Avis in New York and Houston and also with several large property management companies in Houston. His expertise and training will be greatly missed.

John’s family would like to thank Dr. Victor Knopp and staff, Dr. Alex Nguyen and staff, Dr. Roy Lewis, and Dr. Nicole Jaimeson. Special thanks to Heaven Sent Health Care and their aides, Tonya and Clinecia who made John comfortable and watched over him in his final days.

There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 16, 2010 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2010 in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
