John “Juanito” Esparza Maldonado passed away peacefully at home November 19th, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on June 23, 1931. He was the 3rd child born out of 9 children to Serapio and Jesusa Maldonado. As a child, he grew up with his family in Sommerville Tx working odd jobs at the age of 9 until his teenage years when the family decided to move to Houston Tx for better job opportunities There, he met and married Sarah, his wife of 29 years. He worked for Offenhauser Co. for 30 years as a metal fabricator then decided to venture out on his own to start a janitorial service that he maintained with his wife, Sarah until her passing in 1984. He continued his business working long hours with his small crew for a total of another 30 years. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Jean Garcia and grandson Samuel Andrew; and son John Zenen and grandsons Jordan and John Nathan. He will be laid to rest by his wife’s side, Sarah at gravesite. He believed that hard work is good for the soul, and never failed to wear his heart on his sleeve. Not only was he the sweetest person you could ever meet, but he was also always dedicated to his family. He will be missed by many.
