John was an avid sport enthusiast and skilled in the game of baseball and football. He especially loved his Houston Astros and the Tennessee Titans. He instilled in his daughters the same enthusiasm who all became avid sports fans cheering their favorite teams on. He coached youth baseball and football and throughout his coaching he taught several youth and young adults the discipline of the game instilling in them passion, knowledge, confidence, and a winning attitude not only for the love of the game but also life. Many referred to John as a second father, a cornerstone in their life.
He had a love for music, especially classic rock with Van Halen at the top of the list. John acquired several On-air personality friends which he made while working in the industry. He attended countless concerts and developed lasting relationships with some of band celebrities throughout the years.
Throughout his life, John cultivated countless lifelong friendships everywhere he went. He had a canny way to keep you laughing and delighted in many a laugh sometimes at your expense. His silliness was infectious and those that knew John, loved, appreciated, and will forever miss his sense of humor.
He leaves behind his spouse Deborah Loreant; mother, Bonnie Garcia of Houston, TX; five daughters, Jennifer Loreant (Bryan Kennison) of Dayton, OH, Erica Hamden of Centerville OH, Ashley Hobbs (Daniel), of Clermont, FL, Dusti Loreant of Houston, TX and Shelby Bixler of Troy, OH along with his six grandchildren, Hailey, Mikey, Dylan, Aiden, Grayson, and Deacon; step-grandchildren, Kyle, Briana, Kalie, and Kendall; brothers, Adam (Ludy) Loreant and David (Simona) Garcia of Houston, TX; sisters, Cindy Mayberry of Odessa, FL, Tammy Loreant and Diane (Brian) Whitney of Houston TX, and nieces and nephews, Aja, Victoria, Sarah, Gleason, Adrian, and Simona.
