John Russell Lawler Jr., age 86 died December 20, 2015 in Collierville, Tennessee. He was born January 7, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to John Russell Lawler Sr. and Alma Keller Lawler. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Geneva Meireis Lawler, his parents, John Russell Lawler Sr. and Alma Keller Lawler. He is survived by his children Shirley Foranelli (Daniel), Charles Lawler (Martha), Mary Beth Curt (Don), and seven grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was moments spent with family. His life was spent preaching the word of God and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. He was an ordained Pastor for 64 years serving Jesus Christ in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. During his retirement he often reflected on his gratitude toward Christ for the Christian fellowship he had during the years of his ministry. Even though he retired from preaching, he never stopped serving the Lord.
