John was born to Johnny and Vona Hedrick, on September 18, 1957, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Milby High School in Houston, Texas in 1976. He married Debra Cole Hedrick in 1983. Together they raised two children.
He is survived by his sons: John E. Hedrick (Katie Dooley-Hedrick) and Collin M. Hedrick (Isabel Arbelaez). He also leaves to cherish his memory two siblings, two granddaughters, one grandson expected in December, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
John worked as a machinist and was a very skilled craftsman. He enjoyed reading, watching old movies, hunting, fishing, barbequing, and watching the Astros baseball games with his brother.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023, (713) 928-5141. Please feel free to visit during that time to share memories and offer your condolences.
