John was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestina Davila, father, Juan Davila, step-mother, Eva Davila and wife, Carmen Dionicia Davila. He is survived by his children: Maria E. Saldana and husband Richard, John D. Davila and wife Tricia, Rene A. Davila and wife Carolyn, Sylvia D. Schnur and husband Ralph; grandchildren: Adrian D. Hernandez, Melissa D. Saldana, Richard J. Saldana, Eric Davila, Nicholas Davila, Xavier Davila, Chloe Davila, Samantha Davila, and Madelyn Schnur; great-grandchildren; Carlos Bustos, Alena Bustos, Emily Gonzalez and Danya Davila.
