He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Herbert Stroman for 20+ years and later he moved his membership to Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Terry K. Anderson.
He attended public school in Caddo Parish and shortly after that moved to Houston, Texas and graduated from E. E. Worthing High School in Houston Independent School District.
His career started with Louisville Title Company, Hobby Airport and Cellar Door Restaurant. He also worked for Express Trucking, Maga Trucking and Jevic Trucking. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 47 year and retired in 2014. He retired from Andrews Logistics, Inc.
Bradford made his final transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on November 29, 2020 in the comfort of Vickie’s personal home. He was preceded in death by his parents and Nancy & Atress Bradford (grandparents), Blanche Baker (stepmother), Will Stanley Baker (brother); 4 sisters: Ruthie Callagin, Houston, TX, Shirley Smith, Gloria Faye Washington, Annesse Stevenson all of Louisiana and Tabatha Gill (step daughter).
Bradford met and married Karmelda (Moore) in November 1985. She remained loyally by his side until death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Karmelda L. Bradford; 1 son: Derrik (Ora) Bradford; 4 daughter Tessa Hall, Tonya (Donald) White, Aleacia Bradford, La’Shondra Bradford all of Houston, TX. Six sisters and two brothers: Charlesetta Smith, Vera (Paster Jimmy) Smith, Gussie (Kenneth) Terry, Thedora (Charles) Adger, Cynthia Baker, Jackie (Clenice) Baker & George Baker from Louisiana. Lucy Baker, Houston, Texas. Along with 16 grandkids, 5 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
