John Bunkrit Bhisitkul

It is with great sadness and love that the family of John Bunkrit Bhisitkul announce his passing on April 8, 2025 at the age of 59 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Alexandra Bing Bhisitkul, sister Donna Henricks, brothers Robert Bhisitkul and Thomas Bhisitkul, nine adoring nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

Born in Ft. Hood, Texas and raised in Niles, Michigan, John attended Purdue University and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. He led a successful career as an investment banker in New York and Hong Kong, where he raised his beloved daughter Bing. John was a prolific reader and avid personal investor, and had many intellectual pursuits. He immersed himself in unconventional hobbies, most notably mastering the nuances of specialty high-end coffee. He was also an active member of local book clubs in his hometown of Tampa, Florida, and enjoyed travelling to be a guest at book clubs in other cities. Above all, he loved his family, and cherished his time spent with them. He will be remembered by his family as a brilliant, generous, loving and caring father, brother, and uncle.

His family will have a private memorial service for John in Salt Lake City on May 3, 2025. Memorial donations in John’s name may be made to Bonnet Springs Park at bonnetspringspark.com.
