He passed away at Creekside Village Healthcare in Clute, Texas, due to natural causes.
Mr. Adams was born in Houston, Texas on April 17, 1946 to Aruthur Kirk Adams and Climmie Adams. He grew up with his brothers, James Odom and Tommy Adams. He loved spending time hunting, fishing and reading all his books, especially his Bible. His passions were among many, but carpentry, mechanic work, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family were on the top of the list. He was happy when doing his job as Assistant Superintendent of Maintenance for Bush Intercontinental Airport.
In his age of 17, he met Doris G. Brown. They fell in love in Houston, Texas. As of May 3, 1963, 57 years of marriage, they had started a family, complete with Trudy Gerena, John K. Adams and Walter C. Adams. As a family they loved just spending time together. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Mr. Adams and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. One of Mr. Adams' biggest accomplishments was being a wonderful husband to his wife, Doris and an exceptional father to his children, Trudy, Kirk and Craig. He had always felt blessed to be considered a great mentor to his children. As adults, his children still consider him a great mentor. He has always been there for them through their ups and downs, and has taught them to enjoy every moment life has had to offer.
In addition to his wife. Doris Adams, his children, Trudy Gerena, John K. Adams, and Walter C. Adams, John C. Adams is survived by his daughter in law, Lillian L. Adams, sister in law, Martha Strader, brother in law, Charles Brown and brother in law, Douglas Brown. Among his grand children, Katrina Adams, John Michael Clarence Adams, Rob Ian Enzekiel Ennis, Matthew Zigman Ennis, Timothy Robert Ennis, Erica Marina Adams and Troy Marvin Whidden, Jr. His great grand children are Nekyah Leaann Ennis, Josiah Xavier Ennis and Timothy Robert Ennis, Jr. He was proceeded in passing by his father and mother, Arthur Kirk Adams and Climmie Adams, brothers, James Odom and Tommy Adams, and sister in laws, Mary Lewellyn, Laverne Bayer and Dorothy Jackson.
The funeral service will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 on April 17, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. There will be visitation at the same location beginning at 11:00 A.M. His family will be present to welcome loved ones.
