Joel Zermeno

Joel Zermeno, 62, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2015. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 13, 1953, to Daniel and Virginia Zermeno. Joel was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Zermeno. He is survived, by his mother (Virginia), brothers (Daniel, Jr., Ray and Anthony) sister Cora Garcia (spouse Luis ), three children, Chandrea Marie Zermeno, Joel Israel Zermeno (spouse Julie) and Jennifer Bear (spouse Lee) and six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joel, attended public schools in Houston, he traveled the world when he worked on ships, he worked at Hughes Tools Co., and other places as a machinist in Houston and on ships. Most recently, he was preparing for retirement from Spectrum Metal Recycling, Houston, Texas. He was looking forward to spending more time with family, and his buddies Mike and Donny. Joel enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, watching old movies and sitcoms from the 70’s.

Joel was loved by his family and friends; and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace with the Lord. Joel’s family sends a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers during this time.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 5-9 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, with a rosary at 7pm. The funeral service will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11am, followed by graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
