Joel’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He was a proud and active member of the Houston Viper Club, American Motocross Association and President of the Organization of the Unorganized (OOTU). He was a prime example of a true daredevil and his passion for cars was apparent at an early age acquiring all his dream cars which included a 1969 Chevy Impala, 1998 Dodge Viper, 2006 Porsche and a High Performance Subaru Impreza. He was his own boss at Nexus Disposal LCC supervising truck drivers and leading monthly safety meetings. He will be remembered for frequently quoting his favorite movies like “Nacho Libre”.
Joel is survived by his precious daughter Savannah, loving parents Efrain and Maria Gonzalez; siblings and their spouses Efrain Jr. & Minerva, Beatriz & Victoriano, Armando, Adrian; nieces Vanessa, Alejandra, Isabela, Victoria; and nephew Izzak Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his paternal uncle Joel Gonzalez of Morelia, Michoacán.
