Joe Weldon Green

Joe Weldon Green, 81, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born on June 22, 1937 in Houston, Texas but lived in San Antonio for much of his youth. He served in the Navy and then spent many years working in a family Printing business.

Joe married his first wife Betty and they had 3 children together. They lived on Althea in Oak Forest which is where he met his second wife Patsy. They lived across the street from each other for 25 years. After Patsy’s husband passed away in 1985 they developed a relationship and got married in 1987. They moved to Lake Livingston where they were very involved in the community. Joe was a member of the Livingston Lions Club.

In 2018 they moved back to Houston to be closer to doctors and family. They loved their little apartment and were happy to see more of their great grandchildren.

Joe was a fun-loving guy who liked to travel, dance, tinker with mechanical things, go to the casino and pick on family members. He particularly liked to pick on Terry, his friend and caretaker the last 3 months of his life. The family wants to thank Terry for her love and support these last 3 months and for making Joe laugh every day.

He is survived by his wife Patsy, his siblings Kenny and Rae Marie, his children Pamela, Donnie and Patti, his grandchildren Julie, Stephanie, Michael, Wayne and Andy and his Great Grandchildren Olive, Kyler and Alaina. He is also survived by his step family of 2 daughters, 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren.
