JoAnn Carpenter Gardner, 76, went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2010. She was born on August 21, 1934 in Pasadena, TX to Lloyd and Hattiebell Carpenter. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Gardner; Children, Glena Skinner, Michael Clay, Johnny Clay, Tammy Giaratiano, Kayla Frick; 21 Grandchildren; 34 Great-Grandchildren; three Great-Great-Grandchildren and sister, Mildred Geissen.
Jo was very much involved in her community and was a proud member of the Eastern Star. Jo was a long time employee with our Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home & Cemetery in Houston TX and after retirement she was extremely active with the LIFT Program.. Jo served as assistant to Jackie Snider, Community Outreach Coordinator and did a variety of jobs from hosting luncheons and helping with trips and coordinating a number of events. We will miss her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Angels of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:30pm.
