My thoughts and prayers are with the family in the loss of our sister Joan. She will be dearly missed.

I am at a loss for words.  We grew up together into adulthood.   We attended our first concerts together and shared many holidays and moments, both significant and trivial. You were more than my friend.  You were my sister and my family.  Sending my love to Jordie and your family.  Kyla, Dache, and Jade are saddened to lose their godmom.   Mom, Aunt Bettye and the entire family will miss you.  We already do.  I love you and am not saying goodbye.   Until we meet again, my friend.  Rest well. 

I am saddened at the passing of Joan Walker. She and I was in the same Sunday School Class, and I called her "Lady Joan" because of the hats that she wore and of her sophistication. She was a dedicated church member.  She was caring , loving and funny. My prayers goes to her daughter Jordan and her family.  Joan will be truly missed. Rest in Peace "Lady Joan".

You are already truly missed.  You were such a blessing and brought so much joy to my life.  You were so loyal to Aunt Faye.  I'll always remember how many times you told me how much you loved Ms. Perry, my mother.  You, yourself were a magnificent mother!  Jordan could not have had a better one.

Joan will truly be missed. She was a devoted mother, dedicated to her beloved Lilly Grove church and Delta Sigma Theta. She was always a true Soror. A flower has been plucked from the garden, but she will rest eternally with the Father. My heart aches for Jordan, but we know that God knows best. In your honor, our Lilly Grove Delta scholarship will be renamed the Lilly Grove Deltas- Joan Walker Memorial Scholarship. Rest in Heaven Joan. Your labor was not in vain.
