1952, to the late Mr. Willie B. Watkins and Mrs. Ruby
Gene Watkins in McGehee, Arkansas.
He was educated in the McGehee School System and
graduated from Desha High School in 1970. After grad-
uation he began a career with Missouri Pacific Railroad.
In 1982 he relocated to Houston, Texas where he began
a new career with Metro Transit Authority until he
retired in 2018.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, one sis-
ter, Bobbie Marshall, two brothers, James Earl Watkins
and Willie J. Watkins. He departed this life October 28,
2020 at his home in Houston.
Those remaining to morn his passing and cherish his
memory include: his longtime partner Andrea "Kesha"
Miles; four children, Latriece (Bobby) Willis, Centerton,
AR, Albert Anderson, Jr., Arkansas City, AR, Jamaal
Miles and Jamond Miles both of Houston, TX; one
brother, Charles (Pearl), Watkins, Conway, AR; three
sisters, Lois Watkins, McGehee, AR, Beverly Morrison
of Jacksonville, AR and Carla Johnson of St. Louis,
MO; six grandchildren, Alex Jackson, Londyn Jackson,
Kantrice Anderson, Keila Wilson, Mechel'le Anderson,
Josiah Washington and "Papaw" to Chy'na Miles; five
great-grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
