Jimmy Richardson

Jimmy Richardson, beloved father, grandfather, and friend. He was born in Sherman, Texas on July 14, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2013. Jimmy was preceded in death by parents, Alonzo and Ruby; brother, Joe and granddaughter, Brooke. He is survived by sister, Jeanette Lotspeich and husband Jimmy; sons, Steve, Randy and wife Terrie, Paul and wife Jackie; six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Also, surviving is the mother of his sons, Mary Jo Richardson and special friend, Carol Luce.

He was a long time member of St. Stevens United Methodist Church. He grew up in the Heights and attended Reagan High School, served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Infantry, 82nd Artillery Div. and was a member of Reagan Masonic Lodge No. 1037 A.F. & A.M. He spent his professional career with the IBEW L.U., including the construction of the Astrodome and ending his career with the Johnson Space Center.

Celebration of his life funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with interment following at Houston National Cemetery.
