Jimmy Lawson was born on October 24, 1942 in Houston, Texas to James Everett Lawson and Margret Kridner Lawson.
During his early childhood, his family moved to El Paso, Texas where his father worked as a border patrol officer. They later moved back to Houston where he attended Helms Elementary, Hamilton Jr. High and Reagan High School.
He married Jewel (Judy) Jenkins in 1961. They had seven children together.
His first job was at Borden’s Milk as a route salesman. Following that he worked as a route salesman for Schepp’s Milk, Lone Star Beer and Miller Beer. Finally he went to work for Harris County Precinct 3 where he retired. After retirement, he moved to Plantersville, Texas where he spent the duration of his life spending time with his family. His favorite pastimes were watching TV, drinking beer, doing word search puzzles, and driving his John Deere tractor.
