Our father was strong, smart, loyal, kind, generous, charming, and loved his family and friends deeply. He worked tirelessly to ensure that his family always had everything they ever needed. Early in life, he learned the importance of hard work, and after serving in the Army, he went on to work for the same company for nearly 54 years. He was always there for us, whether we needed a stern lecture or just a shoulder to cry on. He taught us the importance of family, resilience, respect and kindness.
He is survived by his son and wife, John and Tammy Saxton, his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Saxton-Cobb and Robert Cobb and grandchildren Aryanna Saxton, Zoe Saxton and Hailey Gibbons. He was predeceased in death by wife, Sheila Saxton, his mother, Zeba Harris and father John Saxton.
A visitation for Jim will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home.
