Jimmie C. Davis

Jimmie C. Davis was born December 19, 1941 in DeQueen, AR and passed away peacefully on October 2, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Effie and Clyde Davis and an infant brother.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Michaelyn (Mickey) Davis, their two sons; Jeffrey and Stephen Davis, daughter-in-law; Elizabeth Davis; grandsons; Michael and Evan Davis, all of Houston, Texas.

Jimmie graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended the University of Houston. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Munich and Aschaffenburg, Germany. He was employed in the oilfield service industry for 43 years beginning with NL/Baroid, then Sperry Sun, Dresser and finally Halliburton from which he retired in 2006. Jimmie loved his family, his two dogs and his farm Trails End in Lovelady, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th Street, Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00am at Prairie Lea Cemetery, 1004 Prairie Lea Street, Brenham, Texas 7833.
