JESSIE BELL THOMPSON 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Tomball, Texas.Mrs. Thompson was a gregarious person who loved people. She worked for many years as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, a profession she loved. Mrs. Thompson spent her 25 years of retirement well; traveling to various places where she could try out her good luck including; Las Vegas, Coushatta and Branson. She had a knack for the slot machines and always managed to pay her way back home as well as share her spoils with her children.Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, William S. Thompson, Sr.; her parents and sister Bobbie Banashak. She is survived by her son William S. Thompson, Jr.; daughter Billie Sue Thompson; sister Linda Hamby & husband Shannon; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Boston Terrier "Miss. Minnie".The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 3rd at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 2003 W. 43rd St., Houston 77018. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Jessie's name.
