Jesse Vasquez Saldana Jr.

November 16, 1956 - January 10, 2025

Jesse Vasquez Saldana Jr., age 68, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2025. Known affectionately as “Tejangess” by his family and friends, Jesse was a beloved husband, father, and uncle who made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Born and raised in Texas, Jesse was an active and dedicated member of his community. He proudly served in the American Legion and was a valued member of Woodmen Life. He had a passion for life and enjoyed spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, and connecting with others. His spirit of service and camaraderie will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Maria D. Saldana; his son, Jesse Anthony Saldana III; and his daughter, Jenavi Victoria Saldana. He also leaves behind his niece, Krystal Saldana, and nephews, Lawrence Saldana and John Saldana.

Jesse was predeceased by his brother, Florencio R. Saldana, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.

Jesse's laughter, kindness, and generous heart will forever be remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and community that will continue to inspire all who were touched by his life.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
