Jesse Armenta Jr.

He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and attended Sam Houston University. He returned to Houston, where he worked for the Attorney General’s Office for 30 years in various roles, culminating in becoming the lead trainer for the Houston region. He played volleyball for many years in tournaments across the country where he met his future husband of 28 years.

Jesse spread joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a gentle spirit and spent his life giving to others. He loved family and made friends everywhere he went and made the effort to keep them. He especially loved children. He will be missed by all.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Jesse Armenta. He is survived by his husband, Greg Otrupcak, his sister, Cynthia Armenta Shuffield, and many, many cousins, aunts, and uncles on both sides of the family.

A rosary service for Jesse will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Texas 77008, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM.
