I worked with Jerry at Linde in Baytown for three years. Every morning when Jerry came in, I would tell him good morning and he would mumble. Then he drank his coffee and had a burst of energy. We did that everyday and it never got old, neither will my memory of Jerry. He was a leader, genuine soul, and cared deeply about the others around him. I couldn’t believe this when I found out. He had a special way with people, and has a lasting legacy.

Jerry - we will meet again one day.

I worked with Jerry for many years at Linde in  Baytown Texas . He was always fun to be around and had a great story or joke to share. I was assigned to go look at a new customer with Jerry at the Huntsville Estelle  prison. we were escorted through the prison not around. While we were walking through the inmates Jerry was a little nervous as I was. It was not a place to spend any time in. He had lots to say about it when we got out. 
It was a lasting memory for both of us. Jerry always seem to get the best of me when joking around. from that time on when I introduced Jerry to any new employees I would tell them that Jerry and I spent time together in  prison and it was great fun watching him explain it.  he was always a good sport about it. there could not have been a better person in our company for training the new employees. 


He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. I am sorry for your loss.
 

From the bottom of my heart I wanted to thank each and every one of you who stopped by the past two days.  I see in everyone that I spoke with that my dad was more than just a friend.  He had so much love in his heart for each of you.  Though we'll miss him, he'll always be in our hearts.  

Lead by example like my dad would say.  God gave us my dad as an angel.  And now he's our guardian angel for eternity.  

I love you dad.  You're truly my hero.  I'll take everything you've taught me and apply in life and spread that seed into my family.

Until we meet again. 

Memory:    Lets see the time my Mom came to me. To go look for you, so it seems Linda Done RUN off with you.  Now that was a day.  Made Mom mad that day we did me saying no you kid nap Linda thank you by the way.  Told you two will come back a day or two thanks again.  Now have to talk to Linda, ya why me. So talk to Linda  said she LOVED you a few words sounds good to me happy for you.  And Jerry she made the BETTER you two could not have been any finer.  You even won Mon over which was a big job it it self she loved you to.  Jerry thank you for the life you gave my sister Linda .  Heart and Soul Jerry  Thank You 


I always enjoyed being in your company! You were the life of the party and would make everyone laugh. We had so much fun at our last family Christmas! You will be missed by so many! When you see my big brother Bobby in Heaven, could you give him a hug for me.? 

I thank god for all the years we were blessed with you and that you were placed into our lives, I only hope that you knew just how much you meant to us and how very special you were! There’s aren’t any words to explain the way I feel, but I am forever grateful to call you my dad. You were loved by so many and no doubt the best pawpaw to our kids! Although I am saddened that you won’t be able to ever meet your new granddaughter Alayah I can promise that she won’t grow up not knowing who you were! We love you so much and you will forever be in our hearts. Say hi to grandma for me. I love you dad. 

I and my wife Cheryl are very sad to loose such a good friend. Jerry was one of the rare people who through caring and humor and leadership touched so many people's lives.

Jerry was a true friend, I have known him for almost 30 years and our friendship had grown to being like a brother, he was a kind hearted, fun loving person and would do anything for anybody that needed help. He loved his family with a passion that you don’t see everyday and every time I talked to him he would always mention his grandchildren . I am going to miss his almost weekly phone calls and still can’t believe that this is real. RIP my brother until we meet again.

I must say this is incredibly difficult for me to put into words how much I deeply love and will forever miss this man who is my beloved brother who was always there when I needed advice, help with anything or just being there.

For 64 years he was my brother and I treasure all the memories of us all when growing up. There are just so much that there's just not enough space in here to mention. I feel at a loss for words 💔.  My mind has drifted back to so many precious times.
 It was just so touching to see the precious love and tenderness when he played with his grand babies 💕 and  attention he gave to all his kids. Linda was his rock in life and he gave this back thru his heart and dedication. 
I read the beautiful words that everyone put in here and it made my heart swell with so much love of how much my sweet brother touched so many lives. Myself as well as my brother,  Junior,  and sister, Debbie,  feel so blessed and happy to have had Jerry in our lives. He will forever live on in our hearts until that day we are all once again united before our heavenly father. I love you Jerry more than words can say.

I met you more than 21 years ago. You accepted me from that point on. When times were rough and could have and even understandably should have, you never wavered in your belief in me. Instead you encouraged me. I thank you more than you know for the light, the spirit, the laughter and the love you gave us all. More importantly, I thank you for giving me your blessing with the hand of your daughter Heather. She is completely sent from the Lord, which is a complete reflection on how you raised her along with all your children. Never a dull moment that’s for sure. 

I loved our talks over the years and will miss them dearly.  To me you are not my father-in-law, instead you are my friend. 

I promise to always do what I promised to you nearly 20 years ago, I will love and take care of Heather. I will miss your laughter, joy and light in life. Most importantly, I will miss my friend. Love you❤️

My dad.  My true hero. I sit and talk to you every night before I go to bed thanking you for being my dad.  For everything you taught me.  For loving mom and all of us without question.  To pass on your goofy nature to my kids.  I thank you for all of that.  I wake up knowing this isn't a dream as I had hoped.  I pray every morning that God have you as our guardian angel every day.  To watch over your grandkids.  To keep my whole family safe and blessed.  

I wish everyone in the world had more time to get to know you.  Those that knew my dad knew how wonderful he was.  He instilled that in all of his children.  We'll forever cherish those life lessons.

Dad I don’t even know how to put into words what you mean to me.  You had a heart that overflowed with love and you spread it out wherever you went. You taught me how to love, how to put god and family first, how to ride a bike, how to be strong, how to never give up among many other things. I’ll never forget the time you brought us home a bullfrog from driving on the road from work. You built an enclosure for him and he still managed to get out lol. I will always cherish all of the beautiful memories we made and hold them dear to my heart. Thank you so much for taking me and crystal in as your daughters without question 31 years ago and loving us like your own. You told me you wanted us to be together and not separated and because you did that me and crystal are now closer than ever. You and mom raised us and did a wonderful job, we have a beautiful life because of you and mom. I will never be able to thank you enough for that. Thank you for all the long late nights you worked so we could have everything we needed. Thank you being the most wonderful, loving, caring father to us. I promise to carry everything you taught me onto my kids. Please say hello to everyone in heaven for me.  Until we meet again I’ll be missing you always. I love you dad. ❤️ 🙏

My heart just can't wrap around that this crazy friend of mine has gone to be with the Lord.  We have worked, laughed, cried together at Airco, BOC, Linde and now Messer for 31 years.    Jerry Herrera was one of the craziest and kindest men I know.      He truly had a servant's heart.   If he saw a need at work....someone needing money.....Jerry would go to his bank and bless that person with money without ever being asked.  He did not do this once....he did it numerous times when we had a new hire, with no money.   This is what our church calls a person to be "the hands and feet of Jesus".  I am going to miss this guy's presence of arriving at 0900 every day with a bag of breakfast, and and funny comment to go along with the food.     Jerry loved the people at work....but he especially loved his family, Linda and kids.    My Prayers continue for each loved one, and sincerely pray peace and comfort during this terrible loss.       Look forward to seeing you on the other side, Jerry.....

There are so many great memories that I have with the Jerry & the Herrera family and let me tell you they were never dull , all my favorites are the all childhood ones. He was the MOST fun to around and knew just what to say to make you laugh.   I knew him to be a devoted father & grandfather that would do anything for his family!! He’s is definitely a one of a kind man that will alway be missed now and forever.  I love you Jerry!. 

Grown-up and having Jerry as an uncle was wonderful and fun and if anybody knows Jerry he was very fun to be around he always did the craziest stuff or said something crazy to make you laugh  we will all miss him I know I know he’s missing us but we all got a think what he’s going through now as in Crawford walking up to him with hands open and saying daddy daddy daddy so we all know he’s going crazy right now or if not and Crawford will or if not there’s always grandma inherent grandpa say yes Mary but all kidding aside Jerry was a great friend to everyone a great uncle to  us all A great dad to all his kids Imgur husband to his wife and he was the type of person you could count on and talk to or get a good joke from but we will all love him I miss him so Uncle Jerry I was always love you And miss you

I meet Jerry 25 years ago when I started working at Boc Gases.  Immediately a great friendship started.  Both of us loved to talk. Everyone who knew us knows how much we kept conversation’s going & going. 
Jerry, I will always cherish our friendship.  
I miss you buddy.  Rest In Peace my friend. 

My uncle Jerry has been a huge part of my life and I can confidently say that he is one of the best men I ever knew and he will be greatly missed. He was such a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and man of God.  He touched the lives of so many people and would help everyone without ever expecting anything in return. He always put everyone's needs before his own.  People like Jerry are rare and I strive to be half the man he was.  In fact, he's one of the reasons I am the man I am today and I will cherish his words of wisdom and guidance for the rest of my life.  I have always viewed him as another father to me and always will.  Though he has been called home to be with the Lord, Jerry will always be in my heart and will forever have an impact on my life.  He taught us values, respect, honor and unconditional love and I know he would want us to pass these traits onto future generations.  I hope and pray he knew how much I loved him and respected him.  Our world will never be the same and words cannot explain how much he be missed.  I love you Jerry!

Jerry and I hired in at Airco about the same time. We stayed friends through the thick and thin, good times and bad. I only remember one time he got upset with me when I was Dispatch supervisor.  I had told him to light a fire under his butt and get off the yard or the customer would be upset if he was late. Anyone who knew Jerry knows he did not hurry when he was talking. He loved to talk!! We had lots of good conversations about everything and solved many world problems.  One thing I know for sure was that above it all he LOVED his wife and family. There was never a doubt in anyone who worked with him where his priority was and that was his family.  Each one of you were deeply loved. We spoke of our faith which gives me peace today. Even though he's gone I have no doubt that he's in Heaven and talking a mile a minute asking all those questions to Jesus he has wondered all these years . Rest easy Jerry until we meet again.
