Jerry was born March 2, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Albert and Mary Evelyn Baker. Shortly after Jerry was born the family moved to Houston, Texas. Jerry grew up and lived the rest of his life in Houston. Jerry loved the Lord, and the Bible and enjoyed spreading the “Word” about Jesus.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Evelyn Baker, his grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. It helps to give us peace knowing that Jerry is not alone. Our Lord and Savior along with all his family were there to greet him.
Jerry leaves to cherish hi memory: two brothers, Buford (Pearl) and Robert (Terri) Baler. He leaves six children: Jerry Jr (Rachel), Derrick (Antoinette), Daniel (Felicia), Joshua Baker; LaWanda McGee, Tanecia Smith. He leaves 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and cousins galore
