I connected with Jenna via instagram when my mom was battling cancer a couple of years ago. After a few conversations online, my mom and I just happened to meet Jenna in person in the MD Anderson waiting room. Jenna recognized my mom and I from our instagram page and came up and introduced herself. Later that day, a nurse brought us a package that Jenna had dropped off for us with lunch, two hand written cards, and a few other sweet items. We were brought to tears by Jenna's kindness, especially knowing that she was battling her own health issues at the time. From that day on, we always referred to her as "our angel Jenna" in conversation. My mom passed away shortly there after, but I still kept in contact with Jenna from time to time. I'm so sorry that we lost another beautiful soul to this disease. Jenna will forever hold a special place in my heart and she will never be forgotten. Rest in paradise sweet angel.

Jenna was by far, the most solid and composed person despite her situation, a true member of the boogaloos. Knowing that her dance with death was closer than anticipated. She continued to live life as if she was already dead,  continued dancing without skipping a beat as she went from full of life, to dancing in the star, the transition from one state to the next is poetry in motion that, sadly, most of us will not possess the mental fortitude to commit to. 
 
With your passing, the one thing I seem to take away, is the ability to maintain the vision for all the beauty in the world, despite having death lurking behind every shadow, to ignore deaths inevitable embrace, and to live life as if you’re already dead. Appreciate the lesson you’ve shown me.

You were one of very few people
I opened up to and became friends with in the SFA OMA. You have a special energy about you that people gravitated too. I looked up to you and you helped show me the ropes because you were in the role before and I was not. After graduating we stayed connected and supported each other from a far. My only regret is that we did not hang out as post graduating working adults lol. You are a talented, beautiful, and strong person inside out. Until we meet again🕊️

She wanted to take a picture but she wouldn’t laugh, so I grabbed her throat and she screamed with a laugh. I may not have known you as an adult but I loved that I knew you existed, I only knew you as a child so I’ll keep those memories ❤️.

You were one of the first people I met back in 2016 when I started my new role at SFA. In an unfamiliar environment, you welcomed me with open arms. I remember attending your art show and being absolutely blown away be your talent. I admired your beautiful energy, smile and amazing strength and passion. I will always be grateful for our talks and cherish each and every memory I had with you. I am blessed to have known you and want you to know that you made a great impact on my life. The first time meeting you and celebrating your birthday 

Where do I begin. I watched you grow from a girl to a young woman at SFA. So many memories, you skipping & spinning down the hall with wearing the pink tulle skirt, you’d asked me to make you, concentrating on homework, eating an orange while watching Friends at my desk, giggling and laughing with the other girls in the office, calling me “Maaaa”, and your hugs.  

The world has lost a bit of its sparkle and Heaven has become much more glittery.

Jenna Flores My friend , my dancing partner , and my photographer. I met Jenna in 2016 when she took my senior pictures at SFASU . Fast forwarded to 2021 , I worked with Jenna at Hoyland Elementary. Jenna beat cancer once before and I sure she would beat it again . Jenna NEVER once complained about cancer even when in we talked when she was in the hospital . She just made plans for us to come over and play uno once she was released. Jenna lived life to the fullest as if she wanted to experience it all before it was time . Jenna had the highest spirits , loved kids , and loved to capture all the moments 📸 . My heart was warmed when I heard that your mother was looking for me to tell me about your passing. I love you so much Jenna and life will never same without you ❤️.
