Jeanette Marie Gonzales, 75, of Jersey Village, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 21, 2025. Born in Ennis, Texas, on January 26, 1950, to Albina “Ella” Pavlacka and John Mikel, Jeanette was a proud graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in Houston, Texas.
Jeanette enjoyed her 11 years at the Harris County Courthouse working for Carl Smith, Tax Assessor/Collector.
She married Robert Gonzales on August 25, 1974, and spent 50 wonderful years together. Her most cherished role was as a devoted wife to Robert and loving mother to daughter, Meridith.
Jeanette had a deep passion for music and dancing, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. Her warm presence, nurturing nature, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Anthony Gonzales; daughter, Meridith Gonzales Fulton and husband, David Fulton; sister, Nancy Kaase; brothers, John Mikel and Ken Mikel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeanette was reunited in death with her mother and father; sister, Patricia Shimek; and nephews Rodney and Mark, along with many other dear family members.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Village Green for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Jeanette in her later years.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home at 13102 North FWY Houston, TX, March 27, between 4 and 7 pm. Funeral services and burial will begin at 10 am on March 28 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral home.
