Jean McMullen, 86, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. She was born April 23, 1931 in Galveston, Texas to Archie Marion McKellar and Louise Agnes Watson. Jean was the owner and operator of Little Shaver Academy in Pasadena, Texas which she started in 1976. She also attended Second Baptist Church of Houston, Texas. Jean is survived by her children, Darlene Louise Die and husband Cleve, Kaylene Marie Sands and husband Owen, Jeanine Carol McMullen and husband Greg Thurow and Sharlene Annette Tyler; grandchildren, Corey Tyler, Gerren Flannagan; great grandchildren, Amaiya Tyler, Avery Flannagan; her sisters, Frances McCann and Barbara Trammel. Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 9-10 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
