

Jason Michael Jones, 30, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010. He was born on February 11, 1980 to the union of Michael Lynn and Sherry Harmel Jones. He was a 1999 graduate of Jersey Village High School and a graduate of University of Houston where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in May, 2006. Jason will be greatly missed by his parents, Michael and Sherry Jones, sister, Kimberly Jones, who idolized him, and the love of his life, Kari Young. Also missing him are grandparents, Velma and Robert Harmel, Jean and James Traylor, uncle, Rob Harmel and many other loving relatives and friends.
Jason worked for the Winstead Law Firm in the Woodlands as a Land Specialist. He loved the outdoors and was always happiest hunting with his grandfather and friends. He adored his parent’s Bandera property. He also enjoyed working in the field as a Land Man. Jason loved sports and was an avid fan of the University of Houston’s football team. Those of us who knew Jason well know he excelled in philosophy, had lots of original ideas and had strong opinions about everything! Jason loved animals and was devoted to his and Kari’s beloved Sky-Dog.
Serving as pallbearers are Scott Alexander, Stephen Kaplan, Burt Mounts, Wade Lewis, Rob Harmel, Fanuel Amare and John Sonnenberger.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 7 pm-9pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 8101 Senate Avenue, Houston, Texas 77040, 713 896-1773. Services celebrating Jason’s life will be held Friday, March 26 at 11:00 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Reception at Epiphany Lutheran Church will follow the burial.
