Jared Lee Pettit

Jared is preceded in death by his grandfathers Raymond Laird and Brooke Pettit and Grandmother Helen Pettit.

Jared is survived by his parents Debbie and James, Brothers Jamie and David, sisters-in-law Candice and Renee, his adored nieces and nephews Kyler, Kynlee, Avery and Luke, his grandmother Bonnie Laird and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers are Kyler Pettit, Brian Coquyt, Rob Olson, Gary Thomas, Al Domangue, Ryan Fitzjarrald, Morgan Jackson and Aaron Joiner.

Jared was a member and a preacher of the Church of Christ. He graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1994 and from the University of Houston in 2000…Go Coogs. He was a University of Houston Alumni; was a volunteer at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; an avid runner, completing the Houston Marathon in 2013 in 4 hours and 33 minutes; and loved the game of baseball and the Astros since his early years.

A dear son, loyal brother, loving uncle, and devoted friend was an example and inspiration to everyone, for both those who knew him well and those who were only touched but for a moment. We are all going to miss his corny jokes, his infectious smile and the way that he was always there for you, no matter what you needed. We will always love you and never forget you.
