Janie M. Martinez, 75, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
She was born in Raymondville, Texas on December 27, 1943. Janie worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years.
Despite her longtime illness, church, family and friends were Janie’s passion and delight. She was a church member of Life Tabernacle and Apostolic Fire. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed food and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susana Perez.
She is survived by her daughter, two grandchildren, son-in-law; and a number of loving relatives and close friends.
A visitation will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11am. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with the graveside service to immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
