Jane J Branum

Jane was born on October 23, 1927 in Kansas City, Kansas to Roy D. Johnson and Eldred Turley Johnson. Her family moved to Houston in 1931. Jane attended Stephen F. Austin High School where she was played the drum in the Scottish Brigade. After graduation she attended Texas Christian University for 3 years until Richard Branum asked her to marry him. They were married in First Christian Church in Houston on December 27, 1947. They then lived in College Station, Texas until her husband graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949. After his graduation they moved to Houston. With the exception of a few years in Puerto Rico and Miami, Florida, they lived in Houston the rest of her life. Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard Davis Branum, and a grandson Richard Davis Branum III, both of Houston. Also surviving are 5 nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and her son, Richard Davis Branum II.
